ABOUT ME

Although my parents were never very musically inclined, my love of music started very early in my life. There was a piano in my living room and I was able to pick out countless songs on the keys, without having received a formal lesson.  In school, I found myself playing percussion in the orchestra and band.  By the age of 19, I finally landed my first job “in music” at Blockbuster Music. Blockbuster Music was different than other music stores at the time, because you could open a CD and listen to it prior to purchase.  This allowed me to listen to every CD in the building, and my goal became to learn every track!  While working at Blockbuster Music, I met a man named Lee Carlisle. Mr. Carlisle owned a DJ service called Disc Jockeys, Inc. and he would visit me to find the latest hits.  He knew that I had listened to the entire store and could find the “clean” versions of popular songs.  Soon he offered me a job with his company and my DJ career was off and running!

Even though I had worked at a few clubs underage, my first Indianapolis residency was at a club called Flashbaxx in the Circle Centre Mall.  I was there on opening day in 1995 and left in 1997 to join the staff at The Vogue. We created a 70’s Disco Night on Wednesday (Retro Rewind) and an 80’s Night on Fridays (80’s Enough).  After the Vogue, I became the head DJ at Have a Nice Day Café.  I worked at countless Cafés until they eventually closed.  My DJ career led me back to Broad Ripple to accept another residency at Landsharks.  I ended my club career with a nine-year-run at The Hollywood Casino.  They built the last ‘retro’ dance club in Indiana, and I had the honor of being their resident DJ.

During the last 26 years, I’ve played at some of the biggest weddings, private events, and New Year’s Eve parties that our state has ever seen!  I’ve taken the time to teach school children music history, and created dance audition and competitive cheerleading mixes for several teams.  Since I’ve retired from being a full time resident DJ, my schedule allows me to do private events again.  I have acquired an LED Dance Floor and Mobile Boombox Trailer over the past few years, and there is absolutely nothing stopping us from creating some truly unforgettable events!
